Jump Rope for Heart

WEAR RED and BE READY TO JUMP

This high energy event happens on Thursday, June 9th from 8:30 – 10:30 am. Rain date: June 16th from 8:30 – 10:30.

The whole school from Junior Kindergarten to Grade Six will be jumping and we will have our annual teacher skip off to end our morning!

Supporting kids’ health for more than 30 years, Heart & Stroke Jump Rope for Heart encourages kids to get active by skipping rope while they collect pledges for heart disease and stroke research.

Our goal is to highlight the importance of getting and staying fit at every age and this year we will also be providing education assembles to help make the children aware of what is a stroke.

If you wish to help us, support this event by:

1) Helping your student register/fund raise

OR donate to the cause via our school if you do not wish to register your child online but would like to donate to this worthy event.

OR consider sending your child with a few dollars on the day of the event to be given to the Heart and Stroke Foundation – last year we collected over $860 the day of the event!!!!

2) Volunteer on Wednesday June 8th 6:30-8:30pm at the school to help setup and cut up watermelon for the whole school to have on June 9th as a healthy treat after their hard work of jumping!

3)  Volunteeron June 9th to facilitate the different “Skipping Stations” as student groups hop through between 9:00-10:30am – to make this work we need twenty (20) or more adult volunteers – you do not need to know how to skip to do this 😉

If you want to be part of this fun fitness event, register online to volunteer.  Join our team!
