Parent Council Meeting – September 21st

The first meeting of council will be at the school on Wednesday September 21 at 6:45.  The main order of business will be elections.   If multiple people put forward their names for the same position then there will be a vote.  Anyone is welcome and encouraged to attend and vote.  The executive positions to be filled are:

See the last email message from last school year.  This email gives a snapshot of council expenditure last year – included but not limited to almost $10K in projectors and iPads for kindergarten, almost $9K for Chromebooks for the Primary/Junior divisions plus many more items.

Milk Program volunteer required

Parent Council looking for a volunteer to run the milk program. The person needs to be at the school early in the morning twice a week to receive deliveries, and during the morning snack period to monitor classroom deliveries. For more info, please contact Cecilia Lee at hcfourney@gmail.com. Even better, come to next week’s Council meeting on the 30th at 6:45 in the school library!

Without volunteers, most of the programs that we offer simply wouldn’t happen. And hey! We are a fun bunch to work with!

Silent Cake auction

Silent Cake auction at the June 12 BBQ!!
Calling all Pleasant Park Public School bakers!
Please donate a cake to our Parent Council Silent Cake Auction… BBQ attendees will bid on your delicious cakes! Last year cakes had fun and creative themes and ingredients. Can’t wait to see the 2015 versions! (Note: please use a plate/base that you don’t mind parting with and please list ingredients on your entry).
